it's worth a try....
IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID NOT PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME, THE OIL COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.
AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES.
THEREFORE MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT UP THEIR behind " DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF GASOLINE THAT DAY.
THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS MANY PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.
WAITING ON THIS ADMIINSTRATION TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN PRICES THAT THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO?
REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP BUT AT THE SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING COMPANIES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING THAT IS SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING MATERIALS, MEDICAL SUPPLIES ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO!
WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE DAY, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN.
SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE MAY 19TH A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES SAY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH" |

So...if everyone who was planning to boycott on the day bought their gas a day in advance, would the oil companies run out of stock?
Of course not....it's just another damn silly chain letter. And if you think US prices for gas are high,go take a look at what they pay in Europe. _________________ Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. |

I don't believe it, I agree with taranaki what's happening to me.
Bottom line is; drive less.
Try living in the UK. Petrol (gas) is on average about 84p a LITRE (approx $1.50 US). Out of this 84p, roughly 80% goes directly to the Treasury due to Duty and VAT taxation.
If you do the maths, a US Gallon would cost $5.65 US here in the UK.
The only way to make the government quake is to stop the distribution (e.g. Fuel Protests in UK). This tactic is painful and can cost lives. _________________ Waste Of My F**king Time |

Doesn't surprise me, ever thought about using used chip fat oil? You car might smell like a friday/saturday night kebab van but at least it will be cheaper!

| Yes I would, but H.M Customs and Excise get funny about it and they have more power and less sense of humour than the police |

God, I love chain Emails.
Especially the one where I got all that money, from Microsoft, simply by forwarding a chain letter to everyone on my Contacts list. _________________ The Boxes of Freedom: Soap Box, Ballot Box, Jury Box & Ammo Box

im not one for chain emails. i was simply passin it on in a public forum. i havent seen my money from bill gates either. if in fact america DID boycott gas, it would have to happen over the course of a week or so to make a difference. i know that much.
but to give you one point of reference...there are well over 1,000 airports in northeast america. i work at an airport with the 2nd or 3rd highest price for aviation gasoline, or avgas, in the region. you have no idea how many people cringe, grimace, or just not fly here every day when they hear that avgas is 3.90 a gallon here. just 15-25 miles away is another field, where its about 2.50 a gallon.
bear in mind, avgas is simply 100 octane with low lead content (not unleaded) its great for old school cars, muscle cars and whatnot, that dont run on fuel injection. it cleans the carbon deposits out of the cylinders, intake, and other components.
(useless knowledge)
the theory behind it is to add 1 gallon to one nearly full tank of regular, every 6 months to a year. _________________ The message above is likely another way of me proving that the 1st amendment was a bad idea. |
